What is IDECS Lab?

IDECS Lab is a masterclass drawing on the instructor’s decade of experience in developing smart cities across ASEAN. It aims to position Kuching as a regional hub for innovation and technology by attracting innovators with viable business models. The masterclass will collaborate with academic institutions to create a curriculum and work with industry partners to develop a global Community of Practice for Smart Cities. Participants are expected to contribute actively and form partnerships with their peers.

The organisers for both IDECS2023 and IDECS2024 were Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC), Sarawak Multimedia Authority (SMA) and SAINS.
